I co-won first place recognition for a project our team put together investigating railroad regulations in Wisconsin that allow trains to block crossings for hours at a time. The article revealed how marijuana has been decriminalized in many areas of the state despite the legislature's resistance to legalizing use across all of Wisconsin.

I co-won a finalist position for a series of columns I wrote about hair donation, which led to the community donating enough hair for Pantene Beautiful Lengths to create two wigs for women battling cancer.
