![]() That's me on the left, as you probably guessed. I'm a reporter for the Milwaukee Business Journal.
In this multimedia role, I serve the region's business community with coverage on the restaurant, retail, banking and education beats. During an eventful and transformational time in southeast Wisconsin, I have the privilege of helping to document this community's story. Some people might think of storytelling only as writing. To me, it's so much more. Especially in today's digital environment, I prefer to think of storytelling in broader terms and use every tool available when appropriate. That, of course, includes, the written word, and also photos, video, graphics, social media and more. As a multimedia journalist, I put an emphasis on using as many digital tools as I can to let my audience experience the news, rather than just read it. My education, training and experience have taught me about the value of journalism: I have the incredible opportunity to help people navigate their world, to help them understand the issues they face on a local, national and global scale. In my job as a storyteller, I get to communicate challenging and complicated information in a way that everyone can grasp and in a form they want to consume it.
